In keeping with the national president’s motto emphasis for this year, these are the activities that were suggested: 1. Contribute at least $1 per member to the national president’s project. 2. E-mail or write a letter to your congressmen and representatives. 3. Contact radio and TV stations regarding objectionable programming. 4. Encourage each member to subscribe to The Colonial Courier and purchase the national yearbook. 5. Try to increase membership by adding at least one new member and one new Golden Acorn this year. 6. Submit at least one article about chapter activities to the TSSDAC webmaster. 7. Be neighborly — contribute to local food banks and clothing closets.
Mrs. Dean said her emphasis for this year is to support servicemen and women by purchasing phone cards for active duty personnel, sending cards to active duty personnel for holidays (Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, Valentines Day and Veterans Day), and inviting service personnel who are at home on leave to visit a chapter meeting.
