Pauline Stockdale, 87, of Big Sandy, died Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, at Community Care of Rutherford County Inc. in Murfreesboro.
Graveside services were held 10 a.m. Wednesday at Benton Memory Gardens, with Don McCulley officiating. Ridgeway Funeral Home of Paris was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Stockdale was born March 28, 1920, in Dyer, daughter of the late Joseph and Dollie Litten Overbey. She was the former owner and operator of Stockdale’s Grocery with her former husband, T. E. Stockdale, in Paris and Big Sandy in the late 1950s-1970s. She was a member of Ramble Creek Baptist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Fay (Gerald) Parham of Murfreesboro and Barbara (Scott) Seale of Richardson, Texas; one sister, Modine Scarborough of Dyer; one granddaughter, Jennifer (Aaron) Riddick of Cookeville; and one great-grandson, Connor Riddick of Cookeville.
She was also preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
