Harry James Chandler, 63, of Hornbeak died Sept. 25, 2007, at Ridgely Care and Rehabilitation Center.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Calvary Baptist Church at 665 Push Road in the Gratio community, with burial following in Newbern’s Fairview Cemetery. The Revs. Jim Chandler and Marvin Maupin will officiate and pallbearers will be Brandon Dew, Chauncey Dew, Justin Chandler, Lance Chandler, Jeffery Jordan, Caleb Chandler and Jared Jordan.
Friends may call at the church from 5-8 p.m. Friday and on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the hour of services.
Johnson-Williams Funeral Home in Newbern is in charge of arrangements.
He was born June 11, 1944, in Bogota community, son of the late Homer and Betty (Deloache) Chandler. He was a Greyhound bus driver and a U.S. Army veteran and was a member of Arbanna Baptist Church in Mountain View, Ark.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Melony and Jimmy Logan of Drasco, Ark.; his son and daughter-in-law, Sean and Mary Chandler of Nashville; three sisters, Sue Dew of Hornbeak, Judy Jordan of Newbern and Brenda Karsher of Brighton; three brothers, Jimmy Chandler of Mountain View, Larry Chandler of Alamo and Roy Chandler of Houston; and four grandchildren, Dustin Chandler and Taylor Chandler, both of Nashville, and Britney Cruz and Blake Cruz, both of Mountain View.
