In conjunction with National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, the Women’s Health Advisory Council of West Tennessee Healthcare invites women to the annual Puttin’ on the Pink, from 1-3 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, at Englewood Baptist Church, 2239 N. Highland Ave., Jackson. The event includes an educational session with Jeff Kovalic, M.D., medical director of Radiation Oncology at the West Tennessee Cancer Center, a part of Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. He will share the latest information about breast cancer, detection of the disease and treatment. Following Dr. Kovalic’s presentation, a local panel of professionals will lead a question and answer session.
