WOODCARVING SHOW — The Leiper’s Fork Carving Club will host its Fourth Annual Woodcarving Show Oct. 27 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. and Oct. 28 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. in Jamison Hall at the Factory of Franklin, located at 290 Franklin Road. More than 25 talented woodcarvers from throughout the Southeast and Midwest will compete for top honors in 18 open division categories and five Intermediate categories. This is the opportunity to observe experienced carvers using their finest creative talents and carving skills as they create realistic carvings of wildlife or human forms, or more fanciful and fun statues. Throughout the show, there will be the opportunity to watch artisans at work or purchase a one-of-a-kind work of art. There will also be a pumpkin-carving contest at 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 27 and a whittling competition on Oct. 28 from 10:30 a.m. until noon.
