Alice Oneida (Ross) Dick, 84, of Halls died Aug. 25, 2007, at her home. She was a former resident of Obion County and was the mother of Jo Faye Walker of Union City.
Services will be noon Tuesday at White & Mahon Funeral Home in Troy, with Dr. Vann Kissell officiating. Burial will follow in Troy’s Terrace Hill Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1-8 p.m. today.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
She was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Obion County, daughter of the late John Alfred and Mattie Elizabeth (Vanhook) Ross. She married E.L. Dick in 1940. He died in 1983. She was a tin mill sorter in Gary, Ind., before returning to Obion County in the early 1980s. She was a Baptist and a member of Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors also include two sons, Gary Gene Dick of Ripley and Earl Dewayne Dick of Halls; seven grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Margaret Louise Hunn of Aurora, Colo., and Ozelma Williams of San Mateo, Fla.; her brother, Alfred “Junior” Ross of Valparaiso, Ind.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Oberta Cory and Carolyn Schlichtin.
