TOURNEY CHAMPS – The University of Tennessee Skyhawk Softball team celebrated a victory Saturday when it defeated Tennessee Tech in a winner-take-all game in the Ohio Valley Conference Championship by a score of 6-2. The team will advance to the NCAA Regional Tournament, which begins Thursday, in Tuscaloosa, Ala. The Skyhawks will play No. 2-ranked Alabama. The Skyhawks were lead by head coach Donley Canary. The team was the top seed in the six-team tournament over the weekend. This will be the Skyhawks second trip to the NCAA Regional since 2009 when they advanced to the Louisville Regional and played Arizona and Purdue. Its record is 39-20.
