On Jan. 9, Joe and Jackie Laws led us in singing, "Alleluia." Robert Baker read from Matthew 25:14.  Bro. Dewey took prayer request and praise reports. Tonight was our business meeting. At the end, Robert led us in studying Revelation 1:1-14.

On this Lord's Day, our Sunday school lesson was from Habakkuk 1:1-3:19 titled, "Habakkuk: A Message of Faith." This lesson told us how that our wise and powerful God is at work even though our enemies sometimes prosper and we sometimes struggle. We can trust Him.

We express sympathy to those who have lost loved ones this week.

Happy Birthday wishes to Grace Laws, Brannon Stafford, Cathy Riddle, Pat Nesbitt and Heather Hodges and happy anniversary to Jimmy and Betty Winstead.

Our hymns of praise were, "Just a Closer Walk," "There's Power in the Blood," "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms" and "Crown Him with Many Crowns."

Bro. Robert Baker filled in for our pastor, who continues to be ill. Scripture reading was from 1 Peter 3:13-22 and Matthew 5:1-12. At the end of the service we had one to be saved. We rejoiced over this.

In the evening, we sang, "Just a Little Talk with Jesus," "Mansion Over the Hilltop," "Lord, I'm Coming Home" and "Living By Faith."

Tonight was our "In Memory Of" service. Charlene Harris read those names. Robert and Julie Baker sang, "Knowing You'll Be There." Gina Workman sang, "He'll Deliver Me."

Bro. Robert's message was from Matthew 7:1-11 and 21-23. We had two good services today. Please remember all of those who have the flu or "crud" in your prayers.

Next Sunday nights service will be at five. We will meet in the fellowship hall for a time of fellowship and games.
