Dr. Richard White

Dr. Richard H. White, 90, of Hickman, Ky., died 11:21 p.m. Jan. 12, 2013, at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky.
Funeral services will be conducted 11 a.m. Tuesday at West Baptist Church in Hickman. Henry Callison and Jason Sipes will officiate. Burial will follow in Hickman City Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at West Baptist Church 5-8 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. until the hour of services Tuesday.
Edmaiston-Mosley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Dike Nerren, Robert Nerren, Jerry Conder, Vercil Bryant, Gerald Harris, Bob Murray, Dan McKinnis and Larry Parks.
The family requests donations be made to West Baptist Church, 1003 Broadway, Hickman, KY 42050; or the charity of the donor’s choice.
Dr. White was born July 6, 1922, in Hickman, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.A. White. He practiced family medicine in Hickman for 59 years and was a retired captain in the United States Army. He received his medical license from Temple University after attending several prestigious universities. Dr. White attended West Baptist Church in Hickman.
He is survived by his son and companion, Rick White and Kathy Godfrey of Fulton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Aynne “C.A.” Mora and Cesar Mora of Fulton and Melissa “Deica” Croom and Joe Croom of Martin; his companion of many years, Joy Kemp of Hickman; six grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Buck White and James E. “Dock” White; and his sister, Sarah Poynor.
