| Woman killed in Highway 195 crash |

A Gleason woman was killed last week after the car she was driving in struck a parked Freightliner truck in a construction zone. Alenna Williams, 37, died from her injuries, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol. The wreck happened Jan. 2 about 1:15 p.m. on Highway 190 about two miles north of Gleason. According to the fatality report, the unmanned truck, which was not pulling a trailer, was stopped in the southbound construction lane. Williams was driving a 1998 Plymouth Neon southbound in the construction zone and struck the truck. She was not wearing a seatbelt, according to THP Sgt. Ricky Bratton, who investigated the wreck.
