Mall hosting activities

The Dyersburg Mall will be hosting a couple of Halloween events to benefit local charities. The mall will host trick-or-treaters from 4:30-6:30 p.m. on Oct. 31. Trick-or-treaters are being encouraged to bring one canned good or make a $1 donation to benefit the Union Mission, and they will receive a special wristband.
For the safety of mall shoppers, no Halloween masks will be allowed for anyone older than age 12.
A costume contest will be held at 6:30 p.m. at the mall’s center court with trophies to be awarded to winners. Registration is required and the entry fee is $1 or a canned good, which will be donated to Matthew 25:40.
Advance registration will be available at the customer service center any time prior to 4 p.m. on Oct. 31 and at center court from 4-6:15 p.m. that day. Children must be accompanied by an adult for both activities.
