An incident of gunshots allegedly fired Tuesday night in the Mercer Street area of Union City remains under investigation.
Officers from the Union City Police Department responded shortly after 8 p.m. to 1301 Mercer St. in reference to shots fired in the area, according to a Union City Police Department report.
Desmond Coble, 35, of 522 West Gibbs St., Union City, told police shots had been fired at him.
Police searched the area for suspects and evidence, according to the report, which indicated officers observed marks on the screen door and the brick wall beside the door. They also found fragments from rounds apparently hitting the wall.
No injuries were reported.
