Johnson still missing

Posted: Friday, September 21, 2012 4:00 pm

A Union City man who was reported missing in July is still missing today.
Darric Johnson, a U.S. Navy veteran, was reported missing to the Union City Police Department on July 2. His family last saw him at the end of May when he was evicted from his apartment on Washington Avenue.
Johnson, 43, may be in need of medical care and medications.
He is a black male who is 6-feet-1-inch tall and weighs 170 pounds. He is probably walking and is alone, according to a description being circulated, and he was last spotted July 31 around Nailling Drive in Union City.
Local residents may have seen Johnson before without realizing it. Some people know him as “the black guy often seen on Reelfoot Avenue bouncing a basketball and talking to himself,” his sister, Lynn Johnson-McBee of Smyrna, told The Messenger in July.
Anyone who sights Johnson or knows his whereabouts is asked to call the Union City Police Department at 885-1515 or any local law enforcement agency.
