Five members of a team from Union City Coca-Cola raced around their bed as they completed a required Chinese fire drill at the halfway point during Saturday afternoon’s CornFest bed races in downtown Union City. The sixth annual event once again proved popular and drew a huge crowd of spectators along East Church Street between Kiwanis Park and the Obion County Chamber of Commerce office. Each bed racing team included a rider and four pushers and many of the beds were uniquely decorated. Additional photos from Saturday’s CornFest activities and the festival’s Day in the Park will be featured in Wednesday’s edition. |
