Casta Brice and Celeste Taylor

KNOWLEDGE GAINED – Martin’s Human Resources Manager Celeste Taylor (right) attended the International Public Management (IPMA-HR) leadership conference in Chicago as representatives of the TN Public Management Association (TPMA-HR). The TN chapter and IPMA-HR is an organization that represents the interests of human resource professionals at the federal, state and local levels of government. She was joined by Casta Brice, the HR director for the City of Tullahoma. “It was great to converse with the HR directors that sat on each side of me- representing Alaska and Wisconsin and learn about the best practices they employ,” Taylor said. Invited to the leadership conference are the president (Ms. Brice) and the president-elect (Ms. Taylor) from each state. They receive intense training in critical thinking and strategize with each other to improve their organizations and associations.
