Poker Run is Saturday The S.A.L.S. 2nd annual Joey Guest Poker Run to benefit the family of Braden Hudson will be Saturday. Proceeds will go towards helping Hudson’s son, Memphis. The run starts and ends at the American Legion in Martin. Registration starts at 10 a.m. and the group will leave at 11 a.m. with stops at White City in Sharon, Blondies in Dresden, The Keg in Fulton, Snack Shop in Union City, and Cadillac’s in Martin. All vehicles are welcome in the run, and poker hands are $15 per player. There will be an opportunity to win $10,000, cash prizes for the best and worst hand, and there will be an auction, food and entertainment at 5 p.m. For more information on the poker run, contact Kenny Park at 514-5057. McConnell plans homecoming McConnell Baptist Church will be celebrating 108 years of ministry with homecoming services Sunday. Sunday school begins at 10 a.m., with worship following at 11. Bro. Donald Doster will be the guest speaker. A fellowship meal will follow the worship service. The celebration continues at 1:30 p.m. with gospel music group, Carl Borders Family.
