BREAKING NEWS: 913th lands in Smyrna
BREAKING NEWS: 913th lands in Smyrna | Tennessee Army National Guard, 913th Engineer Co., Capt. Jacob Partridge
UPDATE: The 913th was departing Smyrna shortly before noon today, earlier than anticipated, and could arrive in Union City as early as 3 to 3:30 p.m. — Capt. Jacob Partridge (left) of Huntingdon, company commander of the Tennessee Army National Guard's Union City-based 913th Engineer Co., 1st Sgt. Marty Ables (center) of Martin and Spc. Johnathon Cadwell of Dresden prepare for formation dismissal just minutes after coming off the aircraft this morning (Thursday) in Smyrna. The 913th is slated to return to Union City between 3:15 and 4 p.m. today (Thursday) following year-long deployment which saw soldiers serving in Kuwait and Afghanistan. The 913th's Family Readiness Group hopes the community will turn out to welcome the soldiers home as they travel by bus along East Reelfoot Avenue toward the armory this afternoon and the FRG will be in place and prepared for homecoming anywhere between 3 and 5 p.m.
