Diabetes class planned

A free education session on diabetes management is planned for 4-5:30 p.m. Aug. 21 at Obion County Public Library, located at 1221 East Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
Certified Diabetes Educators will present the program and will provide information about exactly what diabetes is, the importance of checking blood sugar levels, A1C and how it affects blood sugar, meal planning and exercise, medical tests and types of medication that help manage blood sugar.
