Senior events slated

Several events are taking place under the direction of Obion County Office on Aging over the next week.
Among these are:
• A dance is planned this evening from 7-9:30 at the Eddie Cox Senior Center at 622 East Depot St. in Union City. Larry Frye Band will provide music. Tickets are $5 and concessions will be available.
• The Obion County Fair seniors Cinch tournament registration will begin at 8:30 a.m., with play to begin at 9 at the center on Tuesday. This is a new time.
• The Obion County Fair seniors Rook tournament registration will begin at 8:30, with play starting at 9 Wednesday at the center. This is a new time.
• Senior Fair Day is planned at Sunswept Baptist Church from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Aug. 16. The theme will be Western Music and the gospel singing group Blood Washed Trio, with Tim Gantt, Eddie Blair and Cloyd Ash, will provide music. Lunch will be provided by First Citizens National Bank and door prizes will be awarded by local businesses and banks.
