RTA meeting planned

Obion County-Union City Retired Teachers Association will meet Aug. 16 at 10:30 a.m. at Another Thyme on North First Street in Union City for the annual luncheon sponsored by Commercial Bank. All recently retired teachers are especially encouraged to attend, a spokesman said, and all retired educators living in Obion County, whether members or not, are invited to attend.
Registration will begin at 10.
Those planning to attend are asked to call Jetty Huff at 885-7883, Mary Dunavant at 885-9657 or Alice Fennel at 536-5660 before Tuesday. Those attending are reminded to bring items for Reelfoot Rural Ministries, including two cans of Spam and a jar of peanut butter.
