County meeting set

The Obion County Budget Committee will meet 9:30 a.m. Monday in the basement conference room of the Obion County Courthouse in Union City.
There will also be a joint session with the Obion County Highway Commission in the highway department conference room at 8 a.m. Monday to discuss asphalt applications with CTAS and TCHOA representatives. That meeting will also include approval of minutes from the July 2 and July 17 meetings.
At the 9:30 a.m. session, there will be action on a motion to include the financial report for the Indigent Care Trust Fund; a motion to include the fiscal year 2012-13 Obion County Public Library budget on the agenda; a motion to include the report from the Insurance Committee on the agenda; and a motion to include resolutions for making appropriations to non-profit charitable organizations, for making appropriations to funds for the county’s budget for FY 2012-13 and for fixing the tax levy for Obion County for FY 2012-13.
The committee will also include consideration of notary public applications and other matters brought before the committee.
The meeting is open to the public.
