UTM hosting tax seminar

The University of Tennessee at Martin Department of Accounting, Finance, Economics and Political Science will be co-sponsoring the 2012 State Tax Seminar with the Tennessee Department of Revenue on Aug. 16.
The conference is scheduled to begin at 8:15 a.m. in Room 111 of Boling University Center on the UT Martin campus. Sign-in will begin at 7:30.
Participants will have the opportunity to hear sessions focusing on the update of state tax-related decisions made in the recent legislative session, as well as current state tax audit issues and other topics of interest to tax preparers.
Speakers will include experts from the Tennessee Department of Revenue.

Early registration for the conference costs $175 with lunch or $155 without lunch. Early registration closes Aug. 9, and afterward all registrations are $185.
Eight hours of CPE credits are also available.
