The recovery of stolen shotguns in Dresden has led to the arrest of a Dresden men.
According to Dresden Police Chief Randal Walker, Dresden Police officers were called to a home on Ethridge Street early Wednesday for a report of two stolen guns.
Both guns belonged to the victim’s father, according to Walker. Further investigation revealed the weapons might have been taken by the victim’s son, 24-year-old Will Woodall.
Woodall was out on bond for possession of drug paraphernalia, simple possession and buy/sell/rec/poss of stolen property charges levied against him July 12.
Investigation into the stolen weapons led officers to Thomas Warner, who had allegedly purchased the stolen weapons from Woodall.
Warner apparently bought the weapons and re-sold them to two other people, according to an incident report.
Woodall was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft of property, theft over $500 and buy/sell/rec/sell of stolen property.
He is being held without bond in the Weakley County Detention Center.
