'Tadpole' found dead in his apartment

Only a handful of people actually knew his real name. He was typically meek and kept to himself most of the time. Many people can recall giving him a ride a time or two over the last few decades. Those recollections will now be forever etched as the one known as “Tadpole” will no longer be seen walking the streets.
Tim “Tadpole” Dempsey of Martin was found dead in his apartment on Oxford Street Saturday. The transient was 60 years old.
The cause of the death was unknown at press time and the incident remains under investigation.
His neighbor had requested a welfare check after he had not seen Dempsey since the first week of July, according to an incident report. Dempsey was found dead in his bedroom.
Murphy Funeral Services is in charge of Dempsey’s arrangements. A cremation is planned and memorial services are to me held at a later date.
Dempsey was a graduate of Martin High School. He is survived by two brothers – Benjamin Dempsey of Huntington and Peter Dempsey of Paris.
Tributes to “Tadpole” may be left online at murphyfuneralhome.net.
