Posted: Wednesday, July 18, 2012 12:01 pm

The Big River Bowl is getting some big names.
Fans can get their tickets now.
Bethel, ranked No. 12 in the NAIA football poll, will meet No. 3 Marian, Ind., in the Big River Bowl at J.C. Sawyers Stadium in Dyersburg on Sept. 1 with kick-off slated for 5 p.m.
The game is one of two games played on that site as No. 23 Cumberland battles Kansas Wesleyan at noon.
Game tickets can be purchased from the Bethel University Sports Information Office between 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Tickets are $10 each.
After Aug. 1, tickets will be available at the desk of Wanda McMackin in the Vera Low Student Enrichment Center on campus between the hours of 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
Activities kick off Aug. 31 with a dinner for all four teams at Dyersburg High School.
A limited number of tickets are available for fans and parents.
After the dinner, all four teams will visit the Dyersburg football game at the stadium and be introduced to the local fans.
Tickets are available for the Friday night dinner at $ 15 each.
Anyone wishing to purchase tickets should send a check or money order, made out to Team Dyersburg, to Darla Estes at 1525 Morgan Road in Dyersburg, 38024.
Tickets can be picked up before the dinner at Will Call before entering the festivities.
Saturday morning will feature a breakfast for the teams.
Bethel’s Wildcat Band will perform at the Bethel game.
The Wildcats open their season on Aug. 25 at 6 p.m., hosting UVA-Wise at Wildcat Stadium in McKenzie. Published in The WCP 7.17.12
