State Senate candidate Brad Thompson of the Midway community has announced he has raised about $116,000 in his first fund-raising quarter. That leaves Thompson, a first-time candidate who is unopposed in the Democratic primary, with about $110,000 cash on hand. Thompson’s financial disclosure shows contributions from every county in the district, including Benton, Carroll, Henry, Gibson, Obion and Weakley counties. “Brad’s positive message about strengthening education and working to bring jobs to our communities certainly resonates with voters,” said campaign manager Carol Andrews. “And it is clearly important to voters to have a senator with deep roots in the district and someone like Brad who has worked in every single county to improve our communities. That’s something no one else running can match.” To learn more about his campaign, visit his website at votethompson2012.com, follow him on Twitter at @Thompson2012 or see his Facebook page at facebook.com/BradThompsonForStateSenate.
