UT Martin will host a 7-on-7 Tournament and a Big Man/Skills Elite Training Camp Saturday at Hardy M. Graham Stadium. Registration is currently under way and teams can register the day of the event.
All teams participating in the 7-on-7 Tournament are guaranteed four to six games. The top teams in each group will advance to a single-elimination tournament which will yield the eventual tournament champion.
Liberty High School from Jackson will defend its 2011 tournament title.
All 7-on-7 teams must have at least seven players. However, 10-15 players are strongly recommended.
Each participating athlete must fill out a registration form. The form is online at www.utmsports.com. A $200 admission fee is required for all teams participating in the 7-on-7 competition.
Registration for the Big Man/Skills Elite Training Camp is also under way. Participants may register from 7:30-9 a.m. Saturday. A $30 admission fee for all participating athletes is required.
Athletes will compete throughout the day in various skill development drills.
At the end of the day, participants will be given a chance to compete against some of the elite talent from the local area through various competitions.
