Railroaders run win streak to 10 Make it a ‘Perfect 10’ for the Fulton Railroaders. The Railroaders won for the 10th straight time Thursday night, rallying from an early three-run deficit to beat Owensboro 8-5 at Lohaus Field. Fulton is now 15-11 and in second place in the Ohio Valley League standings. Third baseman Billy O’Connor drove in three runs and Joe Mike had two hits and a pair of RBI Thursday night for the Railroaders. Tyler Saltsman struck out seven in six innings to get the pitching win. Petty’s late burst earns UCBR title Terry Petty exploded for eight runs in the top of the sixth inning to overcome a one-run deficit and win the Union City Babe Ruth League postseason tournament with an 11-4 victory over Commercial Bank Tuesday night. Petty trailed 4-3 entering the top half of the final frame. Chandler McKinney was 4-for-4 with three runs, Tripp Conley was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI, and both Landon Alexander and Jordan Fowler were 2-for-4 with a run to pace Petty. Alexander had a double an RBI. Fowler was rewarded with a win for going the distance, striking out six while allowing eight hits and walking two. Mike Rutland was 3-for-3 with an RBI and a run, while Jon David Fuzzell, Davis Odle, Cameron Babb, Jamison Blackwell and Graham Paschall all had a hit for the Bankers. Rutland, who struck out six, suffered the pitching loss.
