UC JUNIOR BABE RUTH RESULTS
Comm. Bank 8, Kohler 0
Davis Odle and Clint Baker combined to twirl a no-hitter for the Bankers.
Both tossed three innings, Odle fanning six and walking four, while Baker had one strikeout and issued a base on balls.
Lazzarus Scribner went 2-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, while Odle helped his own cause with a pair of singles and two runs scored.
CB scored twice in the second, three in the third and three more in the fifth inning.
Todd Smith was the losing hurler, though just half of Commercial Bank’s runs were earned.
Coke 15, E.W. James 5
Cooper Hurt was 3-for-4 with three runs, while Jonathan McNutt, Brett Woodward and Dylan Ruiz  had two hits each for the Bottlers.
McNutt scored twice and drove in a run, Woodward scored three runs and knocked in one and Ruiz crossed the plate twice.
Jackson Bruff and Tucker Kennedy added two RBI each, and Dean Davidson scored twice for Coke.
J.D. Butler and Kane Ferguson were both 2-for-3, Butler scoring three times and Ferguson coming home twice, for the Grocers.
Davidson went the distance for the win, while Austin McReynolds suffered the loss.
Comm. Bank 8, Terry Petty 1
Mike Rutland tossed a complete game three-hitter, striking out nine, and also helped himself at the plate by going 2-for-2 with a triple, a run and an RBI for the Bankers.
Davis Odle was 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI and Lazzarus Scribner had two runs batted in for CB.
Sam Guess, Jack Guess and Chandler McKinney each had a hit for Petty.
McKinney was the losing pitcher.
E.W. James 9, Comm. Bank 5
Blake Berner was 2-for-3 with a run, and both Samual Arnold and Brennen Whaley knocked in a pair of runs for the Grocers.
Tristan Jernigan tripled and scored, and Knox Faulkner came home twice for the Bankers.
Austin McReynolds was the winning pitcher, while Faulkner suffered the loss.
Coke 12, Doc. Clinic 11
Dylan Ruiz was 3-for-4 with three runs, and Tucker Kennedy was 2-for-4 with a double and three RBIs for the Bottlers.
Kaleb Dowell was 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs, while Zac Jones tripled and knocked in three runs for the Clinic.
Cooper Hurt scored twice and knocked in two runs, and both Preston Cash and Brendan Galbraith crossed the plate twice for Coke.
JayLee Hobbs, Colton Carr and Ja’Marrious Gaston each scored twice for DC.
Ruiz got the win, striking out nine, while Matthew Harrell took the loss. Christian Cary struck out six in three innings of work for DC.
Terry Petty 7, Kohler 6
Petty plated two runs in the bottom of the 10th inning, after Kohler had taken the lead with one run in the top half of the frame, to take the win.
Jack Guess, Will Harris, Dylan Riddle and Chandler McKinney all had two hits for Petty, Guess with a double.
Garrett Northam was 2-for-6 with a run, Allan Russel was 2-for-5 with a double and Dylan Porch also doubled for Kohler.
Jordan Fowler was the winning pitcher, and Colton Easterwood took the loss.
Terry Petty 9, Coke 4
Jack Guess, Will Harris and Dylan Riddle had two hits each, and Chandler McKinney doubled for Petty in league tournament play.
Harris scored three times, and Riddle crossed the plate twice.
Cooper Hurt was 2-for-3 with a double and two runs, and Jonathan McNutt drove in two runs for the Bottlers.
Guess was the winning pitcher, striking out eight, while Dylan Ruiz suffered the loss.
Comm. Bank 4, Kohler 2
Davis Odle pitched a complete game one-hit gem, striking out 11, to lead the Bankers to a league tournament win.
Knox Faulkner was 2-for-3, and Odle tripled for the Bankers.
Elliot Tomlinson had the only hit and lone run for Kohler.
