More than 250 Harley-Davidson bikers converged on Abernathy’s in Union City Wednesday afternoon as part of their journey from Dubuque, Iowa, to Olive Branch, Miss. Checking over the bikers’ route were Carol Abernathy and Doc Phillips of Beaver Dam, Wis. The group of bikers was treated to lunch at Abernathy’s before they headed south on Highway 51. The trip is Part 2 of “Meandering The Mighty Miss,” in reference to the Mississippi River. The five-day trip loosely follows the route of the Mississippi River. |
