Teacher retire

TEACHERS RETIRE — The Obion County-Union City Retired Teachers recently attended the Obion County Education Association retiring teachers’ dinner at Another Thyme Restaurant in Union City for Ricky and Pat Conner (center) and Becky Parks (not pictured). President Bennett Kirk (not pictured) welcomed the members and visitors and then led the group with a prayer. After the meal, co-workers of Mr. and Mrs. Conner told of events that had happened during their teaching careers. Kirk presented each with a gift. Helping them celebrate were retired teachers Jettie Huff (left), Alice Fennel (second from left), Mary Dunavant (second from right) and James West.
