I hope each of you enjoyed your Memorial Day weekend. I know that many traveled to the lake and many had family over for cookouts. I pray that each of you took a moment to say a special prayer for those who have served, are currently serving, and those that gave their lives for serving our country. Remember that without the family support behind the ones who fight for freedom, there is no way they could do it. Many times it’s the unseen heroes in the background that make our country what it stands for today. After all, freedom isn’t free.
Sharon has a lot to offer people. Come by and check out our great town. If you need help with finding places, go by City Hall on Main Street and ask for directions. You might be surprised at all the things you can find in Sharon. For information about the Senior Center activities, call 456-2213. You can contact City Hall for information about any of the programs available or information about the Parks and Recreation activities by calling 456-2122.
If you want your information on our birthday and anniversary list, please email or call me. You will find my info at the bottom of the article. Thursday Danny and Elaine Cook celebrated their anniversary and Brenda Blackburn her birthday. Sunday Larry and Hilda Taylor celebrated their anniversary and twins, Dustin and Austin Taylor, celebrated their birthday. Monday Mitch Skelton and Becky King celebrated their birthdays. Today (Tuesday) Mallory Taylor will celebrate her birthday.
The thought for the week: “I’m not afraid of tomorrow because I know that God’s already there!” If you have a thought you would like to share with the readers email or call and I will put it in my article. My email is jaegardner@frontiernet.net and phone number is 456-9823.
Well, that is all the news that is news from the Sharon community. Remember to continue to pray for one another, our community and our military. May God have mercy on our land and bless you all.
