The Hunter Hynds Unit of United Methodist Women met recently at Stanley’s Chapel United Methodist Church near Union City, with 11 members attending.
The Rev. Judith Wolf-gang, East Charge pastor, was welcomed as a new member.
President Chris Cheatham called the meeting to order and led the unit in the purpose. Mrs. Cheatham received prayer requests that included joys and concerns and Rosemary Coleman offered the intercessory prayer.
In the absence of Emily Haynes, the unit secretary, Leanne Parnell read the minutes of the previous meeting and presented the treasurer’s report.
After completing two “Going the Extra Mile” projects, the unit decided to donate to Grace Place Prison Ministry in Memphis.
A regular offering and a candleburning offering were received.
Serena Blanton presented the Esther moment.
Mrs. Cheatham’s program was titled “The Many Names of Jesus.”
She was assisted by Roberta Peacock, who explained the significance of the names for the Jewish people.
