Memphis G Barton
is on glitter unit

MEMPHIS (AP) — Memphis freshman guard Will Barton has been named to the All-Conference USA third team.
The 6-foot-6 Barton leads Memphis with 12.5 points per game and is second on the team with 4.9 rebounds per game. He has played in all 31 games.
Barton is the sixth Memphis freshman to earn all-conference honors since the 2003-2004 season.

Vol legend Houston
has jersey in rafters

KNOXVILLE (AP) — Tennessee has honored all-time scoring leader Allan Houston by retiring his No. 20.
The Vols unveiled a banner with Houston’s name and number hanging in the rafters on Sunday during Tennessee’s 64-58 loss to Kentucky.
Houston played for the Volunteers from 1989 through 1993. The two-time All-American scored 2,801 career points, which trails only LSU’s Pete Maravich on the SEC’s all-time scoring list.
Houston was selected by the Detroit Pistons with the 11th overall pick in the 1993 NBA draft and played 12 seasons in the NBA, the last nine with the New York Knicks. He currently serves as the Knicks’ assistant general manager.
Houston says his greatest memory of his years at Tennessee was spending time with his family and learning from his father, former Vols coach Wade Houston.
