Concert to be held

Delta Sigma Theta’s third annual Phyllis Easley Memorial Concert will be held on Thursday, Aug. 12, at McCabe United Methodist Church in Martin. The event will start promptly at 7 p.m. The entire community is invited to come out and support the youth.
Phyllis Easley was very active in the community and specifically throughout Weakley and Obion Counties, with an utmost affection for children. This program was started in honor of her and all proceeds will be donated to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
The Ladies of Delta Sigma Theta Martin Alumnae are excited and honored to memorialize this trailblazer of a woman to a sisterhood of college-educated women committed to public service. It will feature the product of a three-day workshop for youth ages 5-12 and the spoken work conducted by Patrice Boyd. For information, contact Deborah Boyd at 587-4885.
