| Floyd announces intent to bid for re-election |

Marci Floyd of Martin announces her candidacy for Weakley County Trustee. Floyd currently serves as the trustee and has nearly 10 years of county government experience and is a Certified Public Administrator.
Floyd’s family has lived in Weakley County for over 100 years. She graduated from Greenfield High School and earned her B.S. degree in Accounting at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville.
She is married to Jeff Floyd who is President of Elme America’s Inc. in Martin.
They have two sons Joshua (9) and Jacob (7). The Floyd family are members of the Gardner Church of Christ.
“My husband and I believe in giving back to our community.” Their activities include the Dresden Lions Club, Martin Pilot Club, Greenfield Rotary, Weakley County Democratic Women, Rolling Thunder for the V.A, Greenfield Alumni Association, Martin Elementary Parent Advisory Board, Chamber of Commerce, Martin Business Association and the Martin Citizen Police Academy. They also support the Weakley County 4-H Program, the Agape House and Relay for Life.
“I am proud of the improvements and enhancements that have been implemented in the Trustee’s office such as the installation of a credit/debit card terminal, the newly designed 2009 tax notice with remittable stub, the acceptance of bank draft payments, and the Saturday Community Outreach Program that helped to enroll 301 new applicants on the State Tax Relief Program.
“I assure you that I continually look for and implement ideas to make your Trustee’s office the best in the State,” Floyd commented.
“It has been an honor to serve the wonderful Citizens of this County and I hope you will continue to place your trust in me. I humbly ask for your vote in the upcoming May Primary and August General Election,” she added.
