Con. John Tanner and Elizabeth Brown, legislative assistant, sign holiday cards for service members and veterans as part of the Holiday for Heroes program, a partnership between the American Red Cross and Pitney Bowes. Tanner urged families, school groups and other Tennesseans to send holiday cards to: Holiday Mail for Heroes, P.O. Box 546, Capitol Heights, MD, 20791-5456. All cards must be received by Dec. 7 and will be distributed through local Red Cross chapters to service members, veterans and their families in the U.S. and abroad.
