BOOK SMARTS — Union City High School sophomore Skye Gifford reads to preschool student Trayana Wood during a recent visit to Union City Elementary School. The Beta Club members visited with Union City preschoolers to deliver books and treats. The older students spent time reading to the younger children and played outside with them during their visit. Each child received a book to take home and books were received for the classroom library. Books from their project were also donated to the Union City Elementary library.
