The beautiful wedding chapel in Troy was the setting for the recent evening wedding of Lauren Casey Billingsley and Timothy Alan Davidson, both of Union City. The Rev. Scott Chapman of Martin, pastor of New Home Baptist Church, officiated the double-ring ceremony. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Steve Allen of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Mickey Billingsley of Paris. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Davis of Obion and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Billingsley of Waverly. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Claudie Davidson of Troy. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Alexander of Dyersburg and the late Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Davidson of Rives. Mandy Owens of East Prairie, Mo., friend of the couple, attended the guest registry. The table was set with a bouquet of white roses, daylilies and beautiful greenery. A prelude of the bride and groom’s favorite selections was played as the guests were seated. Beautifully-decorated white columns with greenery and Boston ferns were placed at the altar. Cascading greenery, candles and white vases with Boston ferns also adorned the altar area. Michael Owens of East Praire and Nathan Owens of Milan, friends of the couple, served as ushers. Mothers of the bridal couple were escorted by the ushers and entered to “A Song for Mama” by Boyz II Men. The bride’s mother wore a floor-length truffle gown. The groom’s mother wore a cream formal suit. Brooklyn McKae Davidson of Union City, daughter of the bride and groom, and Aniston Gabrielle Carter of Martin, niece of the bride, served as flower girls. They wore white satin tea-length dresses, accented with truffle sashes at the waist. The ceremony began with a procession of the saxophone piece, “Everything I Do.” The matron of honor was Brittany Carter of Martin, sister of the bride. Serving as bridesmaids were Amanda Bell of Union City, friend of the bride, and Misty Davidson of Martin, sister-in-law of the groom. They wore floor-length satin truffle strapless gowns with matching accents. They carried bouquets of long-stem daylilies with greenery, tied with satin ribbon. Serving as best man was Brian Owens of Troy, friend of the couple. Groomsmen were the father of the groom and Brent Davidson of Martin, brother of the groom. Ashton Grant Carter of Martin, nephew of the bride, and Jonathan Austin Davidson of Martin, nephew of the groom, served as ring bearers. The groom, groomsmen and ring bearers wore chocolate brown tuxedos with white shirts, along with matching ties and vests. The playing of the “Bridal Chorus” signaled the entrance of the bride. Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her stepfather, the bride entered the sanctuary wearing an elegant designer wedding gown of white satin. The dress featured a strapless neckline embellished with Swarovski crystals, beads and pearls. The front of the fitted bodice was attached to a full-length skirt that flowed into a chapel-length train. The finger-tip veil of white illusion was trimmed in Swarovski crystals and beads and accented with a rhinestone tiara. She carried a bouquet of white roses, white lilies and greenery adorned with white satin ribbon. The singing of “When a Man Loves a Woman” marked the lighting of the unity candle. After a nuptial blessing and the presentation of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Davidson, the bridal couple and the wedding party left the sanctuary to “The Wedding March.” Guests lined along the sidewalk of the chapel to blow bubbles as the newly-married couple departed.
