Mavis V. Sutherland Insco

Mavis V. Sutherland Insco, 85, of Dresden, died Saturday, June 20, 2009, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital, Jackson.
Services were held 3 p.m. Thursday at Bowlin Funeral Home Chapel in Dresden with Bro. Eddie Mallonee and Dr. Don McCulley officiating. Burial was in West Union Cemetery, Dresden.
Robert Doran, Wesley Doran, Bill Halliburton, Gerald Parham, Donnie Smith and James Doyle O’Daniel served as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer was Larry Cobb.
Mrs. Insco was born in Dresden, daughter of the late Willie Irie and Elsie Jones Sutherland. She was the widow of Buford Insco, whom was married to for more than 70 years, an employee for Wormser in Sharon and a member of First Baptist Church, Dresden.
Survivors include one daughter, Evelyn Blackstone of Dresden; two sisters, Nell Aldridge of Lewisville, Texas and Inez McKawn of Martin; one brother, James Sutherland of Louisville, Ky.; one grandson, Steven (Jennifer) Blackstone of Dresden; three great-grandchildren, Danielle Blackstone and Katie Mayo Pinkston, both of Dresden and Patrick Blackstone of Winchester; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Judith Ann Insco; one sister, Dorothy Lix; and two brothers, Marlon Sutherland and Billy Sutherland.
