Restaurant reports theft

A small amount of money was reported stolen Thursday from Los Portales at 1700 West Reelfoot Ave. in Union City.
Police responded about 2 p.m. to the restaurant, where an employee said a white female with short dirty blonde hair and glasses had come into the restaurant claiming she was from Michigan and needed money to get back.
According to a Union City Police Department report, when the employee left the counter to get the owner, the unknown woman went behind the front counter and stole about $60 from a bucket behind the counter before she left the building. Read More ...
