Dollie Jonas

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Friday in the Ridgely Chapel of Curry Funeral Home, conducted by the Rev. John Lowrance, with interment following in New Haven Cemetery.   
Pallbearers were Jim Jonas, Mike Lanier, Tommy Gunn, Dannie Jonas, David Montgomery and Mike Montgomery. Cannon Loughry was an honorary pallbearer.
The family requests memorials be directed to Habitat for Humanity in Northwest Tennessee, 525 West Market St., Dyersburg, TN 38024; Reelfoot Rural Ministries, 6968 Minnick-Elbridge Road, Obion, TN 38240; or the organization of the donor’s choice.
Born June 19, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Daniel “Bob” Jonas and Mary Louise (Franks) Jonas. She was a member of Cunningham United Methodist Church of Gratio, a former director of the Professional Development Center and a motivational speaker. Nawasa is best known across this whole area as THE master storyteller.
She is survived by her brother, Dannie B. Jonas of Obion.
In addition to his parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Bobby Franklin Jonas, Jere Lynn Jonas and Gerald Dewayne Jonas; and three sisters, Martha Rachel Jonas, Reba Verlene Jonas and Imogene (Jonas) Beeler.
