Eugene Bard

Eugene Bard, 85, of South Fulton died Feb. 26, 2015, at his residence.
Services will be held a 11 a.m. Saturday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with burial to follow in Palestine Cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. Saturday until the service hour.
He was a member of Smith Street Church of Christ, a self-employed farmer, carpenter and a former teacher at South Fulton High School. He lived all of his life in this area.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Smith Bard, whom he married Nov. 12, 1950; two children and their spouses, Bill and Ginger Bard of Fulton and Jennifer and Jay Roney of South Fulton; eight grandchildren, Ann Bard and Sarah Jane Bard, both of Fulton, Virginia Rice, Joanna Roney and Jack Roney, all of South Fulton, Brian McKendree of Jackson, Johnna McKendree Croy of Toledo, Ohio, and Charles Roy Johns of Royersford, Pa.; five great-grandchildren, George Croy and Addy Croy both of Toledo, Clark and Nolan Rice, both of South Fulton, and Lucas Johns of Royersford.
He is preceded in death by a daughter, Julie Bernier; his parents, Roy and Lucille Browder Bard; a sister, Mary Lou Bard; and a brother, Glen Bard.
