Carl David Mann, 74, of South Fulton passed away Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020, in Waverly.
He was born March 7, 1946, in Fulton, to the late James Adrian and Evelyn Lemond Mann.
He was a member of Fulton First Baptist Church and was also a member of the former Jaycees. He retired from the former Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company as a tire builder. He loved coaching when he was younger and was an avid bowler and golfer. He was currently working as a security guard at Discovery Park of America in Union City.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Rogers Mann, whom he married Feb. 25, 2003; four daughters, Debbie (Rick) MacDonald of Counce and Lisa Cathey, Sherri (Jason) Proctor and Denise Mann, all of South Fulton; two stepchildren, Kevin Campbell and Eva Brady, both of South Fulton; five grandchildren, Valerie Cathey Bynum of Fulton and Curtis (Allie) Cathey, David Proctor, Brittney Proctor and Samantha Mann, all of South Fulton; three stepgrandchildren, Crystal Brady of Obion, Hunter (Josie) Brady of Tiptonville and Gracie St. John of South Fulton; four great-grandchildren, Dylan Bynum and Lucas, Sophia and Charlie Cathey, all of South Fulton; one stepgreat-grandchild, Braxton McElrath of Obion; three brothers, Leon Mann of South Fulton, Johnny (Gladys) Mann of Hampton, Va., and Bobby (Myra) Mann of Gilbertsville, Ky.; and two sisters, Bodie Carolyn (Waymon) Duncan of Calvert City, Ky., and Mae (Bill) Croft of Jefferson, Ind.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters, James William Mann, Arnold Adrian “Snooky” Mann, George Donald Mann, Shirley Ann Mann Wade, Emma Gene Mann Bright, Robert Thomas Mann and Marshall Dwayne Mann; and a son-in-law, Charles Cathey.
Funeral services were held 4 p.m. Sunday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel.
Visitation was held from 2 p.m. until the hour of services Sunday at the funeral home.
