Bertha Marie “SweetPea” Burton, age 75, of Greenfield, passed away peacefully Wednesday Aug. 12, 2020, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Service was held at 11 a.m. Friday at First United Pentecostal Church of Greenfield. She was interned along side her husband and daughter in Pleasant Grove Cemetery with Williams Funeral Home of Greenfield in charge of the arrangements. SweetPea was born on Jan. 18, 1945 to the late Rev. Joseph Richard Isaac and Louise Rose Morris. In her adult years she moved to Chicago, Illinois, where she met the love of her life Donald Lee Burton and together they created a life full of adventure. Later they moved to Jacksonville, Florida and enjoyed many years by the sea. In 1995 Don and SweetPea decided to make their final home not far from her birth place of Jackson and settled down in Greenfield to be close to their children. She had many hobbies that filled her life with joy. Among her many hobbies, the ones that she cherished the most were gardening, crocheting, and working with her beloved Greenfield First United Pentecostal Church. She is survived by her three remaining children, Joyce Farrah of Port St. Lucy, Florida, Limuel Westley (J.D.) Daniels, and Jimmy and JoAnn Daniels, both of Greenfield. She also leaves behind two remaining sisters, Kay Frost of Scott’s Hill and Joy Sikes of Henderson. SweatPea was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Donald Lee Burton; their daughter, Mary Jane Daniels; and three sisters, Kathleen Isaac, Linda Zurek and most recently Brenda Jones.
