Mrs. Penny Lynn Powell, 63, of Fulton passed away Sunday, July 26, 2020, at her residence.
She was born on April 7, 1957, in Fulton, to the late J.C. and Ruby Tibbs Witt. She was a member of the former Oak Grove Church of Christ.
Penny had worked in the auto parts business in the Twin Cities area for over 30 years and was the assistant manager of Bumper to Bumper in Fulton.
She is survived by her husband, Jackie M.C. Powell of Fulton; and her children, Jimmy (Laurie) Thorpe of Fulton, Jamie Powell of South Fulton, Brandy Harrison of South Fulton, Teri Powell of Fulton and Mikey (Megan) Fields of Fulton; 10 grandchildren, Leighton Thorpe of Fulton, Baylee Thorpe of Fulton, Andrew Atwill of Hawaii, Rachel Myers of Clinton, Ky., Skylar Grissom of Nashville, Makaela Harrison of South Fulton, Keeley Fields of Martin, Karlie Fields of South Fulton, Jacob Fields of Texas and Hope Powell of Martin; one great-grandchild, Beau Myers of Clinton; and a sister, Datha (Leslie) Scott of South Fulton.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Glenda Wade; a brother-in-law, Brent Wade; and a daughter-in-law, Ginger Powell.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel, with burial to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
