Tommy Harrington, 68, of Dyersburg died on Friday, May 15, 2020, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
He was born Friday, May 9, 1952. He was the son of the late Charles Edward Harrington and Margaret Jones Harrington. He was a retired foreman for Forcum Lannom Materials and enjoyed spending time on the farm.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Johnson-Williams Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Dr. Mike Deal and the Rev. Mike Hickman. Interment will follow in Obion County Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-6:30 p.m. at the funeral home.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 49 years, Suzanne Daves Harrington of Dyersburg; one son, Jonathan Harrington (Candace) of Dyersburg; one daughter, Rebecca Harrington (Eric Henderson) of South Fulton; his mother, Margaret Jones Harrington of Union City; two sisters, Grace Butler (Charlie) of Jackson and Carol Ann Mayo (Billy) of Union City; two grandchildren, Cade Harrington (Abbiegail) of Newbern and Caroline Harrington of Dyersburg; and his faithful companion, his dog, Que.
He was preceded in death by his father, Charles Edward Harrington; two daughters, Ami Harrington and Katie Harrington; one brother, Johnny Harrington; one sister, Karen Harrington; and his lifelong friend, Lyman Ingram.
Serving as pallbearers will be Parker Cashdollar, Steve Sedberry, Hunter Butler, Blake Butler, Keith Ellington and Dennis Davin. Honorary pallbearers will be Maurice “Mo” Sims, Johnny Day and Jack Hatcher.
