SPECIAL DELIVERY

SPECIAL DELIVERY — Snappy Tomato Pizza employee Macy Lynch of Martin placed a Beast pizza in the back seat for a customer Thursday. In order to ensure the safety and health of its customers and staff, Snappy Tomato Pizza is transitioning to delivery and curbside carry-out only during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic. Customers just need to place their order by phone at 885-SNAP (7627) and then call when they arrive at the restaurant and they will bring it to their vehicle. “We appreciate the support from our community, and we look forward to continuing to serve you in the safest way possible,” owner Richard Moran said. Like Snappy, other restaurants in the area have transitioned to pickup and delivery purchases only, while fast food restaurants are limiting orders through the drive-through window. Local small businesses need the support of residents now more than ever. Main Street-Union City executive director Lauren Tanner suggests residents buy gift cards now to use later, ask an owner or employee if they need help, buy a manufactured product now and pick up later, keep memberships and subscriptions current and stay local. “The most important takeaway here is that your support over a period of a few weeks could literally save someone’s business,” she wrote in a Facebook post.
