SAFE AND SOUND — The Obion County Sheriff’s Office and Obion County School System worked together Monday to coordinate active shooter training at all seven county schools. A different scenario was presented at each school. During the exercise at Hillcrest Elementary School in Troy, officers entered the front lobby and prepared to work their way down a hallway toward classrooms. Among those involved were (from left) sheriff’s deputy Preston Aldridge, school resource officer Harold Banks, Tennessee Highway Patrol trooper Rod Sharp, SRO Jonathan Reyna and sheriff’s Sgt. Joe Key, dressed in plain clothes for an off-duty response.
