SAFE AND SOUND — The Obion County Sheriff’s Office and Obion County School System worked together Monday to coordinate active shooter training at all seven county schools. A different scenario was presented at each school. During the exercise at Hillcrest Elementary School in Troy, officers entered the front lobby and prepared to work their way down a hallway toward classrooms. The team continued to work together as they checked and cleared classrooms, where (from left) Reyna, Banks and Sharp covered an area surrounding a room. Monday was a professional development day for teachers and staff ahead of the return of students today following the extended Christmas break.
